Jamie Foxx had to get stitches after he got caught up in a dispute during his birthday dinner.
The 57-year-old comedian went to the Los Angeles hotspot Mr. Chow for his birthday dinner on Friday, December 13th but faced an unfortunate accident.
“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” a spokesperson for Foxx told Page Six on Saturday.
“He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
A press release obtained by the outlet that law enforcement was called to Mr. Chow at 10:06 p.m. Friday evening for a reported assault with a deadly weapon.
However, reportedly, the police department ruled out the incident as it “involved a physical altercation between parties.”
As of now, no arrests have been made and the incident is still being investigated.
This comes after Foxx suffered a near death experience in 2023. The comedian and actor told photographers in a video on X, “It’s beautiful because I didn’t know if I would be here to celebrate it.”
