Vicky Kaushal was spotted in Patna, Bihar on Saturday. He was seen relishing a plate of litti chokha in the city.

Ahead of the release of his upcoming movie Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal has been travelling across the country to promote his film. The actor recently arrived in Patna, Bihar, on Saturday. He was seen relishing a plate of litti chokha at a stall in the city. He shared a video of him enjoying the local delicacy on his social media.

Taking to his Instagram, Vicky Kaushal shared a video of him eating a plate of litti chokha in Patna. Sharing the video, he wrote, “#Patna aakar Litti Chokha kaise miss kar jaayein??? #Chhaava exciting news coming up!” The video showed the actor dressed in a white embroidered kurta with his sleeves rolled up. He sported a well-groomed moustache and a pair of sunglasses as he savoured the flavours of litti chokha.

Ingredients For Litti

  • 2 cups Wheat Flour
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Water (as needed)
  • 1 cup sattu
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp chopped green chilli
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ajwain
  • 1/2 tsp kalonji
  • 1/2 tsp mustard oil
  • 1/2 tsp aamchoor powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp pickle masala

Ingredients For Chokha

  • 1 large brinjal
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp chopped green chilli
  • 1/2 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander

Instructions For Chokha

Step 1: Make small incisions on the brinjal. Insert garlic cloves. Roast the brinjal, green chillies, and tomatoes directly on an open flame until the skins are charred.

Step 2: Once charred, transfer it to a bowl of water. Let it cool. Peel off the charred skin.

Mash the vegetables in a bowl. Add in chopped onion, salt, mustard oil, chopped ginger, and garlic. Mix well and set aside.

Instructions For Litti

Step 1: In a bowl, mix sattu, chopped onion, chopped ginger, chopped garlic, chopped green chilli, chopped coriander, ajwain, kalonji, mustard oil, amchur powder, salt, and pickle masala. Mix well to prepare the stuffing. Set aside.

Step 2: In a large bowl, add wheat flour, salt, and ghee. Mix the dry ingredients well and knead them into a dough. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3: Divide the dough into smaller portions. Roll it out. Place a spoonful of the stuffing and seal the edges.

Step 4: Heat a pressure cooker (remove the whistle) and grease the inside with oil.

Place the stuffed littis in the cooker and cook on medium-low flame for 25-30 minutes.

Serve it hot with chokha and green chutney.
