Fashion is a way to express and celebrities are having a lot of fun with it. Recently, Malaika Arora sported a classic white tee featuring typography that read: I’m boring baby, all I do is make money & come home. Malaika’s casual tee is definitely a favourite and can be included as a wardrobe necessity to ward off trolls.

That’s one way of speaking your mind and Malaika did just that when she posted a video wearing the quirky tee on Instagram. Following suit, riding high on the success of Citadel: Honey Bunny, Samantha Prabhu was spotted at the airport looking comfortably chic in a white tee flaunting a message that read: I LIKE YOU BUT I LIKE ME MORE. She paired the casual tee with a pair of classic blue jeans.

It’s a perfect way to speak your mind and that too in style. Being a celebrity can be tough, especially when you are scrutinized every step of the way. While making a statement each time you are questioned about your choices can be annoying, saying it in style with your fashion choices can be a fun option.

We don’t know the reason behind Malaika and Samantha’s quirky T-shirt messages, but we definitely can relate to it. T-shirts are a cool and stylish way to speak your mind or just a way to have some fun with quirky texts. But why stop at T-shirts?

In the past, fashion designers have spoken their minds through their collections and runway shows. Recently, the creative students of Pearl Academy showcased ‘Not Yours’ a collection at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI at the Delhi Edition in October 2024. The collection carried a powerful message raising awareness against societal atrocities and empowering women to voice their demands for justice. The students skillfully integrated traditional Indian textiles and crafts, presenting them through a unique and contemporary lens. Some of the statement pieces featured typography texts such as No More Drama.

Similarly, actors such as Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor among others have celebrated typography in their couture ensembles. Remember the iconic Bebo saree by Picchika or the controversial pink Everything is AK-Ok lehenga set adorned by Sonam? Well, history is made when fashion speaks your mind.
