Zara Tindall has seemingly given a sweet nod to her aunt Duchess Sophie’s meaningful gesture for her close pal.
GB reported that Princess Anne’s daughter recently spoke about her thrilling experience at “Australia and Magic Millions – a 10-day equestrian carnival.”
For the unversed, the carnival is owned by Zara’s friend Katie Page and her husband Gerry Harvey.
Katie told Australian Financial Review Magazine that she and her husband mingle with the royals during the races. The 68-year-old socialite also disclosed a fun encounter with the Duchess of Edinburgh.
She said, “Gerry and I were lucky enough to go to the races with the Queen and Prince Philip. We had lunch with them, which was fantastic. Charles and Camilla were there as well.”
“We were fortunate to go in the carriages, and it was so funny. I’m all dressed up and a bird pooped on me. They all thought it was hilarious,” she added.
Katie said, “And Princess Sophie [the Duchess of Edinburgh] had to clean me up.”
In response, Zara laughed and said, “That’s good luck.”
Notably, Zara’s comment came after the Duchess received a historic title which was once given to her late father-in-law Prince Philip.
The mother-of-two is now patron of Capability Scotland, a charity supporting disabled people.
