Prince William sets to play a crucial role on behalf of the royal family amid King Charles’ ongoing cancer treatment.
The Prince of Wales is expected to be deployed on the “most important soft power mission of the 21st century,” as reported by The Telegraph.
The future King, who recently exchanged good words with the newly inaugurated President of the United States, will play a significant part in strengthening ties between his homeland, the UK and the US.
“The biggest thing right now is figuring out how to make sure the relationship [between the US and the UK] doesn’t go off track and we try to repair some of the damage. That is where I think the King and Prince William can really help,” the source shared.
It has been said that William “realises the important role he and his family play” and with his father’s blessings, the Prince will happily extend his support for the greater cause.
An insider shared that the royals are “not involved in day-to-day politics, but when the time is right and there’s an ask for support from His Majesty’s government, the Prince is happy to play his role and support where needed.”
Notably, another source revealed, “The President looks to the King, and now William, for things that are going on in the UK.”
