In a recent interview, Nagarjuna revealed what he does to stay fit and active at 65. He talked about the importance of exercise and a balanced diet.

Nagarjuna mentioned that he works out five times a week.

At the age of 65, South star Nagarjuna shows no signs of stopping. The actor is a fitness enthusiast and that is visible in how active he still is. In a recent interview, he opened up about his fitness regime. The actor mentioned that he led a disciplined life which included regular exercise and a balanced diet.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Nagarjuna mentioned that he has been incorporating strength training and cardio in his routine for the past three decades. He said that he likes to incorporate some form of exercise in his life daily. He said, “I have been doing this for the last 30 to 35 years, so it is more about consistency. I stay active throughout the day; if I do not go to the gym, I go for a walk or swim.”

The actor mentioned that he works out for five days a week. He sweats it out for 45 minutes to an hour in the gym. He also shared a fitness hack. He said, “Be it cardio or strength training, keep your heartbeat above 70 percent of your maximum rate at all times. Don’t rest too much in between your workouts, don’t sit down, and don’t carry phones. Just concentrate and make sure your heartbeat is above a certain level and that would keep your metabolism high throughout the day… Just give your body one hour to 45 minutes every day. That should be enough to take care of it.”

Apart from this dedicated exercise plan, Nagarjuna also stressed the importance of having a healthy diet. He revealed that he finishes dinner “by 7 pm or 7.30 pm maximum”. Additionally, he also revealed that his pre-workout morning meal consists of “natural probiotics, like kimchi, sauerkraut, and fermented cabbage” that he pairs with warm water and coffee.
