Cynthia Erivo took a stand for Ariana Grande against online criticisms.
The 37-year-old actress, who shares the screen with Grande in the musical hit Wicked, starring a wicked witch Elphaba to Grande’s character Glinda, called out the critics who make comments about the pop star’s appearance.
She was asked about the recent online criticism pointed at Grande at the Red Sea International Film Festival.
“Cyberbullying is quite dangerous,” Erivo responded at the event held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on December 6.
“It’s easy to be behind a computer and type words about a person you don’t know,” she continued.
The Broadway star called on fans to stand strong against online negativity
“Be the person who tells the positive,” she noted.
“What a person who has never met you thinks is never more important than what you think of yourself,” Erivo added.
