Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai after reportedly experiencing ‘acidity’.
A Reserve Bank of India spokesperson said, “Reserve Bank of India Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das experienced acidity and was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Chennai for observation.”
“He is now doing fine and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours. There is no cause for concern”, an RBI spokesperson said.
Medical Bulletin on RBI Governor
Apollo Hospital, Chennai issued a medical bulletin providing an update on the health of Shaktikanta Das.
“Reserve Bank of India governor Shri Shaktikanta Das experienced acidity yesterday night and was admitted in Apollo Hospital, Chennai for observations. He is now doing fine and there is no cause of concern,” the hospital said in the statement.
“He will be discharged shortly,” the statement added.
